Carnegie International/Pittsburgh Event: Unblurred

Carnegie Museum of Art 2013 Carnegie International curators Daniel Baumann and Tina Kukielski will be on hand at Tee Rex Syndicate for Unblurred to discuss the exhibition, and you will be among the first to get your hands on some limited-edition, custom made 2013 Carnegie International swag!

There will also be free beer, awesome grub via Pittsburgh's finest food trucks, and sweet summer tunes.

The 2013 Carnegie International brings together 35 artists from 19 countries, including a series of large-scale commissions throughout the museum and beyond.

TeeRex Syndicate is a Pittsburgh screen printing company run by a group of obsessive designers, artists and printers. Supporting the local economy and Pittsburgh Pride are very important to them. In 2009 they stacked six thousand square feet of premium silkscreen printing facilities on top of six
thousand square feet of seasoned multimedia design muscle right in the heart of Pittsburgh's Friendship Arts District. Both ink and pixel enterprises now coexist harmoniously in their renovated studio complex.

Unblurred is a monthly event sponsored by the Penn Avenue Arts Initiative. Each month, people from all over the region stroll Penn Avenue between the 4800 and 5500 blocks to meet with artists and local business owners. Families, singles, workers, students, long-time residents and first-time
visitors alike can bask in Penn Avenue’s creative energy – experiencing a mix of photography, dance, painting, sculpture, music and spoken word performances.
