UPDATE: Light Snow Expected after Midnight New Year's Eve

The National Weather Service now predicts the snow will fall mainly after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Headed to First Night for New Year's Eve? No matter where you are going in the Western Pennsylvania area, it will be cold with the chance of light snow.

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Moon Township.

  • New Year's Eve: Light snow likely, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 10 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • New Year's Day: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 29. West wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
