Traffic Delays Expected on Interstate 376

Work on the ongoing Interstate 376 project will continue through May, according to PennDOT.

Drivers on the Interstate 376 Business Route in Moon can expect more traffic delays and lane closures on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Road crews will be performing ramp and curb installation on the roadway, as well as line painting and pavement marker installation.

The work is part of a $7.6 million, months-long project that includes concrete pavement matching, resurfacing and guide-rail installation.  Pittsburgh-based Lane Construction Corp. is the primary contractor on the project.

Motorists are advised to slow down and drive with caution through PennDOT construction areas.

Work on the project will continue through May, according to PennDOT.  Later this spring drivers can expect:

  • Single-lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Interstate 376 and Airside Drive.
  • Westbound single-lane closures from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the intersection of University Boulevard and Airside Drive.
  • Eastbound turning lane closures off of University Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
