Seniors Enjoy Sun And Song At South Park Festival
People from across the county turned out for the third annual Senior Celebration in the Park.
Seniors citizens from across Allegheny County on Wednesday enjoyed one of the nicest days of the year at South Park as they took part in the third annual Senior Celebration in the Park.
The day included dancing, information booths, caricature painting, games and prizes and featured an "American Idol"-style Celebration Idol contest.
The winner, Russell Bowe, of Homewood, won a recording contract at Ya Momz House recording studio for his rendition of "My Girl" by The Temptations.

The attendees came from the county's Department of Human Services Area Agency on Aging senior centers.
Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the Dignity and Respect Campaign, Fifth Third Bank, various county departments and other organizations were involved in the event.
