National Weather Service Issues Freeze Warning for Moon, Robinson

Unprotected plants will be damaged.

The Moon and Robinson area, as well as the surrounding region, is under a freeze warning from 1 to 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures may dip into the 20s overnight.

Meteorologists warn that unprotected outdoor plants will likely be damaged or killed, so cover the plants and bring potted plants indoors.

The temperature is expected to rise throughout the week. The high on Wednesday will be around 80 degrees.

  • Monday Night: Areas of frost after 2 a.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Tuesday: Areas of frost before 8 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 59. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
  • Tuesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
