Moon Township Man Flees After I-376 Crash

State Troopers said a Moon man was driving under the influence of a controlled substance when he crashed his car.

Pennsylvania State Police arrested a Moon Township man on charges of drunken driving after he crashed his Cadillac onto its roof and attempted to run down Interstate 376 West.

Daryl Godfrey, 30, lost control of his 2004 Cadillac SRX at 3 a.m. today near the Banksville Road exit on the interstate, failing to negotiate a left-hand curve and driving his vehicle into a hillside, where it rolled over onto its roof.

Godfrey initially ran from the crash, but was captured by state police. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of drunken driving.
