Montour Run Bridge Work to Impact Vehicle Traffic and Trail Access

Traffic restrictions at the Montour Run Bridge will also impact the traffic on the Montour Trail.

Traffic restrictions are planned beginning Friday, April 5 at the Montour Run Bridge while bridge-approach paving is completed, according to the Allegheny County Department of Public Works.

The public works department advises that the work zone will also impact the traffic on the Montour Trail.

Scott Road will be closed to traffic at the intersection with Montour Run Road as a result. This will restrict all access to Scott Road and Casteel Drive during the first two weekends in April.

The closure begins at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5 through 6 a.m. Monday, April 8 and will begin again on Friday, April 12, weather permitting. No residences or businesses will be impacted, according to public works.

The Montour Trail at Scott Road will be in the work zone. Trail traffic may experience stoppages on the trail for durations of no more than 15 minutes during daylight hours.

No stoppages are planned from dusk to dawn, and flaggers and signage will be used on the trail.
