MCA-TV Plans Public Awareness Weekend

The public access channel will feature programming about Moon-area nonprofit organizations.

this month will spotlight more than 30 nonprofit organizations as a part of its annual Public Awareness Weekend. 

The event will air live from 1-9 p.m. March 23 on MCA-TV and continue from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 24. Programming will focus on area nonprofit organizations and the services they provide to Moon Township and surrounding communities. 

The event will feature live interviews with organizations ranging from the American Red Cross of Southwestern Pennsylvania to the Beaver County Humane Society. More than 30 organizations are slated to take part in the event.

This year marks MCA-TV's 14th year conducting its Public Awareness Weekend. 

“[Public Awareness Weekend] provides an outlet for nonprofits to recruit volunteers and spread the word about the programs and services that they offer in the community,” said Jim Koepfinger, executive director of MCA-TV, in a statement.

MCA-TV airs to Moon-area residents on Comcast channel 14 and Verizon FiOS channel 35.
