Coraopolis District Court: Man Faces Trial for Possessing Heroin, Handgun

Police said William Bosley carried a gun and more than 40 stamp bags containing heroin into a Moon Township hotel.

A Penn Hills man will face trail on charges he brought heroin and a gun into the Crowne Plaza hotel in Moon Township.

Moon Township Police said 20-year-old William Bosley was in possession of a 9 mm Smith and Wesson handgun and more than 40 stamp bags containing heroin on New Year's Day at the Thorn Run Road hotel.

Bosley appeared Tuesday in Coraopolis District Court.

Hotel staff called police on Jan. 1 after Bosley's girlfriend, 19-year-old Phalonda Pollard, ran into the hotel lobby, claiming Bosley held a gun to her head after a fight in their room.

Pollard later recanted her story. Hotel staff requested that police evict the couple from the hotel.

After police escorted the pair to their room to collect their belongings, they discovered marijuana buds and a joint in a room.

Police lifted the mattress in a room and found the handgun and stamp bags. Neither Bosley nor Pollard is licensed to carry a firearm, police said.

Charges of drug possession, possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy, and carrying a firearm without a license were held against Bosley following a hearing Tuesday in Coraopolis District Court.

A formal arraignment for Bosley is set for April 8.

Pollard is expected to face a preliminary hearing on Feb. 26 in district court.
