Hearing Postponed for Coraopolis Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Minor

A local teacher is suspended from the classroom on charges he had a sexual relationship with a student.

A preliminary hearing for a West Allegheny teacher charged with having sex with a student has again been continued. 

William Morosetti, 28, of Coraopolis, was suspended from work in the district in January after Allegheny County Police charged him with six counts of institutional sexual assault of a minor, sexual assault of a minor and furnishing alcohol to minors. 

A preliminary hearing before Magisterial Judge Carla Swearingen-Batch scheduled for Feb. 12 has been postponed until March 8, according to court records.

Police have charged the high school math teacher with having sex with an underage girl more than a dozen times at his Grace Manor Drive home in 2012, according to reports. The girl is no longer a student in the district. 

Morosetti also worked as an assistant wrestling coach for West Allegheny. He was arrested on the charges on Jan. 18.
