Get Out: Go to a Charity Basketball Game at Moon Area High School

1. SPRING VENDOR SHOW

When/Where:  6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Moon Area Middle School. 

Why Go: It’s time to start thinking spring, so go take a look at the latest designs and crafts.

2. HOOPS FOR HOPE

When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday, Moon Area High School.

Why Go: Support a great cause; watch the Moon basketball team take on local celebrities and athletes in a charity basketball game with all proceeds benefiting the Mario Lemieux Foundation. There will be a Chinese auction, 50-50 Raffle, face painting and refreshments.

Pricing: $5 for adults, $3 for students; children younger than 5 are admitted free. For more information contact afozard@comcast.net

3.  SPRING WASH 'N WINE

When/Where:  7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Larry’s Laundromutt, Sewickley.

Why Go: Volunteers from the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society will wash your favorite pooch while you relax and enjoy a glass of wine along with some cheese and crackers.

Pricing: $10 donation

4. SOERGEL’S GARDEN CENTER SPRING KICK-OFF

When/Where: Noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at Soergel Orchard Farm Market, Wexford.

Why Go: Celebrate the start of spring and learn how to spruce up your yard without breaking the bank. Join the Garden Center staff for lunch at noon followed by the seminar at 1 p.m.

Pricing: $10 per person. Attendees get 20 percent off everything in the Garden Center. Call 724-935-2090 to register.

5.  PITTSBURGH POWER AT CONSOL ENERGY CENTER

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Consol Energy Center.

Why Go: The arena football team is back at home and ready to take on the Tulsa Talons.

Pricing: Tickets start at $15.
