Five Things You Need to Know This Week

From meetings to free events, Patch lets you know what's going on in Moon this week.

1. MCA-TV Free Training Session

will hold a free training session at 6:30 p.m. October 3 for community members who want to learn the basics of television production. The training consists of four Monday evening classes at the station's Beaver Grade Road location. To register or for more information, call 412-269-1191.

Residents must plan to attend each of the four sessions in order to participate. 

2. Township Board of Supervisors Meeting

 meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 for its monthly meeting at the Moon Municipal Building. Officials from the are scheduled to attend the meeting.

3. Olweus Bullying Prevention Program Kick-off Day

All  schools are kicking off the second year of its Olweus Bullying Prevention Program with activities, such as concerts and crafts. Visit www.moonarea.net for more information.

4. Enviro-Art Class Begins

Kindergarten through second graders are invited to be a part of this popular six-week art class at the

5. Pumpkin Decorating Activities

Halloween festivities are getting under way.
