Five Things You Need to Know This Week

From Halloween to Christmas festivities, Patch keeps you up-to-date with this week's happenings in Moon Township.

1. Trick-or-Treat on Monday Night

Halloween is finally here, and you know what that means—Trick or Treat! Moon Township and Crescent Township trick-or-treating hours are scheduled for 6:30 to 8 pm. Please be cautious of traffic and click here for extra safety tips.

2. Moon Park Winter Hours Begin

It's not winter quite yet, but 's winter hours will change beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1. The park will now be open from 8 a.m. until dark.

3. Moon Recreational Basketball Draft

Let the games begin! The Moon Rec Basketball Draft will be held Saturday at gym. Boys and girls from third to eighth grade are welcome but must register first. Don't worry, everyone will make a team and get to play in the games!

4. Moon Library Book Drop-off Day

Drop off your used books at the on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Books must be in good condition. The library will also accept gently used CDs and DVDs. The books will be used for the library's annual fall book sale.

5. "A Christmas Carol" Pre-Sale Tickets
