Moon Area School Board holds workshop meeting.

The Moon Area School Board will hold its monthly workshop meeting at 6 p.m. today in the high school board room.

The board is slated to vote on hiring the J.C. Pierce architecture firm for a renovation project at Brooks Elementary School and on additional change orders to the recently completed $76 million high school facility.

Township supervisors to meet Wednesday.

The Moon Board of Supervisors will hold its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the township Municipal Building. 

Look for coverage of the meeting Thursday morning on Patch.

The township planning commission will also hold its monthly meeting this week at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building. 

Manage your credit at the Moon Township Public Library.

Looking to improve your credit score? The will hold an information session at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the library's Sky Room to help residents learn to set financial goals and manage debt. A representative from PNC Bank will be on hand to lead the session. 

The session is free to attend, but residents must register by calling 412-264-5638.

Moon Area School District to administer PSSA tests.

Students in third, eighth and 11th grade in the will take the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment exams this week.

Moon-area sporting events set to take place all week.

The weather may be chilly but the spring sports season has arrived. Baseball, softball and volleyball games are scheduled to take place throughout the week. Check out a schedule here.
