Five Things You Need to Know This Week

Montour Early Dismissal

To get a head start on Thanksgiving, Montour School District will dismiss students Wednesday, Nov. 21, at these times:

  • High school: 11:17 a.m.
  • Middle school: 11:45 a.m.
  • Elementary schools: 12:15 p.m.

 


Moon Area School Board Meets

The board will hold its business meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the high school board room, located in the lower-level central administration offices. Download the agenda.

Give Blood

During the school day on Wednesday, the National Honor Society at Moon Area High School will hold a blood drive in the gymnasium.



Budget Meeting

The Moon Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. Monday to discuss the 2013 budget and conduct other business, as necessary.

Intergenerational Book Club

The fourth Sunday of every month, Moon Township Public Library hosts a book club that connects teenagers and older adults. This month's book is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. The program is from 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 25 at the library, 1700 Beaver Grade Road, Suite 100.
