Moon-West Mifflin Playoff Game on Xfinity On Demand

The Xfinity High School Sports Game of the Week for the opening round of the 2013 WPIAL Football Playoffs will feature Moon traveling to face West Mifflin in a Class AAA game.

The game will be available free to all Comcast Digital Starter and above subscribers beginning Saturday, Nov. 1 by choosing the Get Local, Sports and Football folders on their Xfinity On Demand menu. It is available in both Standard Definition and High Definition.

The Xfinity High School Sports Game of Week will be called by the talented team of Chris Shovlin and Ellis Cannon, with former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch joining the broadcast for the playoffs.

West Mifflin (8-1), which finished second in the Big Nine Conference, is led by the WPIAL’s top rusher, Jimmy Wheeler, who amassed 2,022 yards this season. Moon (6-3), fourth in the Parkway Conference, boasts the WPIAL’s No. 5 rusher in Cole Blake (1,457 yards).

This compelling first-round game is part of the 11th consecutive season of local high school football coverage for Comcast. Comcast’s high school sports programming has been nominated multiple times for regional Emmy Awards.
