George Hackett, president of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services, wishes to thank the local community for helping to make the Airport/Beaver Regional office’s Bowling for Wishes event a success. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of affiliated sales associates, staff and supporters in the community, the Bowling for Wishes event raised more than $11,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Organizers filled the 32-lane Paradise Island Bowling Lanes in Neville Township with approximately 200 bowlers. Spectators joined in to cheer on the bowlers and bid for auction items. Since 2008, the event has raised more than $50,000.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.
“We are thrilled that Bowling for Wishes has become such a popular event,” said Hackett. “Thanks to the participation of our friends and neighbors in the community, we are able to continue supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a praiseworthy organization that grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses.”
