Sincerely Yogurt Opens New Robinson-Area Shop

The store will be located at the Pointe at North Fayette.

The frozen confectionary chain Sincerely Yogurt will soon open a new location in North Fayette.

The Cranberry-based franchise, which maintains seven Pittsburgh-area locations, will hold a grand opening for its latest shop in early March at the Pointe at North Fayette, just outside of Robinson Township, said marketing director John Elsman.

The chain, which specializes in healthful smoothies and frozen yogurt, opened its first location in Cranberry Township in 2009. It has since expanded business to Sewickley, Monroeville, Wexford and other communities.

Elsman said Sincerely Yogurt acquired the North Fayette property in the summer of 2012. The store will be the chain's largest at 2,400 square feet, featuring a party room for children's events or corporate gatherings.

"Robinson's just a good area and we've been looking (to open a store) there for a while," Elsman said.

The North Fayette store is now hiring. Elsman said management is reviewing applications for all positions; no specific staff size has yet been announced, he said.

"All the proceeds from the ribbon-cutting ceremony day will go to (UPMC) Children's Hospital," Elsman said. "We really strive to be more than just a chain, we want to be a pillar of the community."
