Plow & Hearth Comes to Settlers Ridge in Robinson

The furniture store opens in the Settlers Ridge Ridge shopping complex

The Virginia-based home furnishings store Plow & Hearth will hold its grand opening this week at Settlers Ridge in Robinson Township.

The national retailer, which specializes in furniture, fireplace rugs and accessories, and lawn and garden ornaments, will host a three-day grand opening event beginning Nov. 15 at its new Settlers Ridge location, according to the store's website.

Plow & Hearth introduced the new store with a "soft opening" on Oct. 26.

The 5,000 square-foot shopping space is located at 1710 Settlers Ridge Drive. In addition to home goods, the store will carry Dansko footwear, apparel and gourmet foods.

Plow & Hearth maintains 21 locations in Viriginia, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey, as well as elsewhere in Pennsylvania, according to the company.

The Pittsburgh Business Times spoke to Plow & Hearth COO Dana Pappas:

"We're a lifestyle brand and we drive a lot of our own traffic with the catalogs we mail to customers. We've got a pretty broad product selection."

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
