“We’re inviting them as well as their families for a free dinner," Zaborowski said. “We want to say thank you for saving the restaurant.”

In June, kitchen grease caught   and spread to the building’s roof, destroying much of the kitchen and dining room and shuttering the restaurant for three months. No one was injured in the blaze.

Management hoped to re-open the restaurant in the weeks after the blaze, “But the damage was so much worse than we first thought,” Zaborowski said. “Every day we were finding something else wrong."

Zaborowski said a water main break after the blaze worsened the damage. He said he could not comment on a damage estimate for the building.

Though the menu will stay the same, Zaborowski said the dining room has been completely remodeled. Much of the staff is also returning.

“[The restaurant has] been completely gutted,” Zaborowski said. “You probably wouldn’t even recognize it. It’s much more modern, much more colorful.”
