Giant Eagle Market District Introduces Personal Shopping Service

The Robinson supermarket will use personal shoppers to select items for customers.

Giant Eagle Market District in Robinson Township this week launched a new personal shopping service.

The curbside express service enables customers to order groceries online at MarketDistrict.com/Curbside and then pick up their items in front of the store.

Market District staff members will select items from each customer's list. The items are available for pick-up in a new curbside lane for motorists in the front of the store.

Items are available for the same price as on shelves; the fee for the service is $4.95, which is waived for a customer's first order.

The service is available today on the store's website, which enables customers to search by food item, brand and price.

Visit Giant Eagle's website for more information.

That's great that they are offering a personal shopping service. My cousin has been using a shopping service online for years (http://www.youreclecticshopper.ca/) and she just loves it. Do you know if they will have an online option so you can give them your list online?

I'm having trouble deciphering/accessing complete posts above. I have not been able to follow theRead More Boards meetings since relocating a year ago to TN. The fact that it took them til 3 am to ok WalMart's plans for the space, makes me think it was contentious, as it should have been. Many of us with experience of WalMart and the existing problems with traffic in the area remain appalled to hear WalMart's moving ahead.
