Bites Near Us: East Coast Deli

Patch stops for a quick sandwich at this Moon-Clinton Road delicatessen.

If you’re looking to grab a bite to eat and you’re on the go, is the place to go.

East Coast Deli isn't a dine-in eatery: You can order food or take it with you. If it's a nice summer day, you can lunch outside on a picnic table. It's a small but inviting stop on Moon-Clinton Road, blending quick and friendly service with good food at a modest price.

East Coast Deli is famous for its breakfast sandwiches.  The three-egg sandwich comes with a choice of bacon, ham or sausage and American cheese for $3.50. Breakfast sandwiches also are available on an English muffin, bagel or croissant. The breakfast menu includes breakfast pizzas for $7.50, omelets for $3.95 and up and breakfast wraps for $5.50.

If you’re not a breakfast person, East Coast Deli also has a lengthy lunch menu, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, gyros and wings as well as pizza, hoagies, calzones and strombolis.

The eatery offers deli sandwiches, which include your choice of meat cheese, and bread for $4.50. Specialty sandwiches, priced from $6.95 to $8.95, include the Santa Fe, three rivers delight and Carolina po’boy. The Greek, buffalo chicken, barbeque chicken and antipasta salads are each $7.95. Wraps, such as the honey mustard chicken and turkey club are $6.95 and served with a homemade side.
