Miracle League Celebrates The Holidays!

Players, volunteers, family and friends are invited to celebrate this weekend.

will hold its annual holiday party from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Woodlands. Players and volunteers can expect a good time, with lots of activities and a visit from Santa!

The Miracle League was created to give children with special needs the opportunity to play baseball as a team member in an organized league.

co-founded the MLSWPA in 2009. Since then, more than 275 children with special needs from around the region have become team members in this organized baseball league.

There are three divisions within the Miracle League. The non-competitive division, the Miracle Division, is for children 5 to 18 years of age; the Adult Division is for those older than 18; and the Youth Competitive Division is for children who wish to play in a competition league.

In addition to providing the opportunity to play organized baseball, the league provides children with special needs the opportunity to develop critically important social and other skills.

The Miracle League field is located in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Sportsplex at in Cranberry Township. The league is open to residents with special needs in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio.
