Marince, who moved to Nashville to pursue her music career, said she has been at work for the last nine months crafting songs alongside other songwriters for an upcoming album. She said the new material, set for a release later this year, will have a more personal feel than her past work. She released her first album, "Somebody Like You," in 2008.

Marince's set tonight will include an acoustic performance as well as several unreleased songs.

"It's always hardest to perform in front of people who you know, but I'm really excited," she said. "When I'm up on stage I see these people who I went to school with and my family who come out and its just a really nice feeling."

Marince will perform at 8 p.m. tonight at the ARL Amphitheater and sing the National Anthem at 10 p.m. Country music artist Chuck Wicks will perform at 9 p.m.
