Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Community Partners Concert

Focus On Renewal (FOR) is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) Community Partners Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Heinz Hall.

The concert will begin with the PSO and cellist Gabriel Cabezas, winner of the senior division of the 2012 Sphinx Competition─a program that encourages classical musical talent in the African American and Latino communities.

The R& B Group En Vogue will perform with the PSO in the second half of the concert, led by PSO Resident Conductor Lawrence Loh.

Tickets range from $25.75 to $85.75. In this wonderful ongoing collaboration with the PSO, a patron who buys a ticket can select one of 25 eligible local nonprofit organizations, including Focus On Renewal, and the PSO will donate proceeds (minus the $.75 Cultural District fee) from the ticket price to the selected organization. The Community Partners Program has raised more than $630,000 for partnering nonprofit groups since its inception in 2004. This is the 5th year FOR has been selected to participate in this partnership.
