Film Trailer Released for Tom Cruise's 'Jack Reacher'—Originally Named 'One Shot'

This movie, starring Tom Cruise, was filmed in the Pittsburgh area—including Sewickley—last year.

The trailer for "Jack Reacher," a movie that was filmed in the Pittsburgh area——over the winter, has been released. 

The movie, which was named "One Shot" during filming, stars Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall and Rosamund Pike.

In October, film crews and actors . The movie also filmed in Dormont, Oakmont and other areas throughout the City of Pittsburgh.

And speaking of films, is currently filming in Sewickley. Saturday and Sunday, the film crew is expected to shoot night scenes near Beaver and Chestnut, according to borough officials.

"In an innocent heartland city, five are shot dead by an expert sniper. The police quickly identify and arrest the culprit, and build a slam-dunk case. But the accused man claims he's innocent and says 'Get Jack Reacher.' Reacher (Tom Cruise) sees the news report and turns up in the city. The defense are immensely relived; but Reacher has come to bury the guy. Shocked at the accused's request, Reacher sets out to confirm for himself the absolute certainty of the man's guilt, but comes up with more than he bargained for."

"Jack Reacher" is expected to be released in theaters on Dec. 21.
