Report: Pittsburgh Drivers Among Worst in the Nation
According to Allstate Insurance, Pittsburgh area drivers average just over seven years between accidents.

When it comes to the city with the best drivers in the country, Pittsburgh isn't even close, according to the annual Allstate Insurance Best Drivers report.
Among the 194 cities ranked, Pittsburgh comes in at 173, five slots worse that the 2012 ranking of 168.Specifically, the report says Pittsburgh area drivers average just over seven years between accidents, and are 38-percent more likely to be involved in an accident when compared to drivers nationwide.

The best drivers in the country, according to Allstate are:
1. Fort Collins, Colorado
2. Boise, Idaho
3. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
4. Brownsville, Texas
5. Madison, Wisconsin

At the bottom of the list are:
194. Washington, DC
193. Baltimore, Maryland
192. Providence, Rhode Island
191. Hialeah, Florida
190. Glendale, California
Allstate said it based the study on two years' data to minimize the effects of phenomena like a bad winter or a long summer construction season, and the list reflects weighted averages of property-damage claims.
