Moon, Robinson Trash Pickup Behind Schedule Due to Weather, Holiday

Residents experiencing delays should expect garbage to be picked up soon.

Moon and Robinson residents who are waiting for garbage pickup will be serviced soon, according to Waste Management officials.

Lori Casa, spokeswoman for Waste Management, said collection services have been delayed in various service areas, including parts of Western Pennsylvania. Both Robinson and Moon contract with Waste Management.

"In some cases it's due to severe weather conditions or the holiday," Casa said.

Landfills in Washington County closed because of the snow, causing garbage pick-ups to run behind schedule.

Robinson Township issued an announcement that remaining trash pick-ups for its routes will be handled today.

Any trash that hasn't been picked up, will be hauled soon and the schedule will be as normal again on Monday, Jan. 7, officials said.
