Moon, Robinson Organizations Eligible for Day of Giving Donations

The Pittsburgh Foundation's Day of Giving is Wednesday, Oct. 3. Find out how you can help some local organizations.

Several Moon and Robinson-area non-profit organizations are eligable to receive extra donations from the Pittsbugh Foundation on Wednesday. 

The foundation will match a pro-rated amount of all money donated to specific organizations from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday in an event dubbed "the PittsburghGives Day of Giving."

Here are local entities that are eligible:

  • Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School
  • Hollow Oak Land Trust
  • The Verland Foundation, which maintains an office in Moon
  • The Ohio River Trail Council, which assists in maintaining the Montour Trail
  • Pittsburgh Botanical Garden, located at Settlers Cabin Park

The minimum gift per organization is $25. The maximum gift that an individual can give per organization that will be matched is $10,000. Nonprofits will receive a check with total donations and Pittsburgh Foundation match within 30 days of Day of Giving.
