Moon Park Halloween Spooktacular Draws Large, Festive Crowd

Despite the heavy clouds, Moon residents flock to Moon Park for the township's Halloween event.

Yesterday's spotty weather couldn't keep Moon residents away from the township's first-ever "Spooktacular" event.

By 5 pm, both of Moon Park's parking lots were nearly full, as costume-clad kids and their parents decorated pumpkins, went for a hayride and conversed with a giant talking pumpkin.

On Tuesday afternoon, director of , Dana Kasler, said he hoped at least to hold a modified event even if rain prevented several stations from operating.

The rain held off, however, and the event went off without a hitch. From creative costumes to an abundance of candy, the event couldn't have been more festive.
