Moon July 4 Goes Out with a Bang

The township's annual festival drew nearly 12,000 people.

Nearly 12,000 people crowded into Moon Park Monday evening for the township's annual Fourth of July Celebration. 

Festival-goers took in performances from country music artist Chuck Wicks and Moon natives Brooke Annibale and Sarah Marince. 

More families poured into the park and lined Ewing Road nearby to catch the Zambelli Fireworks display at nightfall.

Dana Kasler, director of Moon's Parks and Recreation department, said the event ran smoothly. 

"It was a great turn out," Kasler said. "It just seems like everyone is really excited [tonight]."
