Last Chance: School Board Workshop Session and 'Strong As Steel' Sign-Up

1. Moon Area School Board workshop session

The will meet at 6 p.m. today for a public work session on the district's upcoming budget. The work session will be held in the high school meeting room.

2. RMU sustainable energies conference

will host the fourth annual International Conference on Sustainable Enterprises beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The event, which will be held in the university's Sewall Center, features keynote speaker Bryan Morreale, who is the lead of materials science and engineering at the Office of Research and Development for the U.S. Department of Energy. 

3. 'Strong As Steel' adaptive sports sign-up

The Moon Township-based adaptive sports team is looking to recruit additional young athletes for upcoming events. 

The Strong As Steel track and field team was founded by a Crescent Township mother with the of gathering young athletes with disabilities, ages 5 to 21, to train and compete in a variety of events. The group will attend its first regional event in June.
