Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Possible This Afternoon and Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook today and tonight for southwest Pennsylvania, including Allegheny, Beaver and Butler counties.

Showers and thunderstorms in the forecast may be heavy enough to cause localized flooding into this afternoon, the weather service said. 

The weather service issued the alert at 10:10 a.m. Forecasters aren't calling for hazardous weather tomorrow for the time being.

Here is the forecast for Robinson-Moon: 


  • Wednesday Afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph.
  • Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East wind 3 to 5 mph.
