Penguins versus Flyers Playoffs 

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Consol Energy Center

Why Go: If you don't have tickets to get inside Consol Energy Center when Game 5 returns to Pittsburgh, no worries. Join other Pens fans outside to watch the Penguins on the big screen as they build on Wednesday's 10-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Pittsburgh Craft Beer Festival

When/Where: noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Market District Settlers Ridge.

Why Go: Today kickstarts a weeklong celebration of local craft beer across the Pittsburgh region. The “Pittsburgh Craft Beer Festival” includes a Penn Brewery tasting at noon Saturday at Market District in Settlers Ridge. At 2 p.m., get on over to Bocktown in Robinson for a Sly Fox sampling. Operation Troop Appreciation

When/Where: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Walgreens in Moon Township.

Why Go: Stop by the  to help "" with goodies for the troops! Operation Troop Appreciation will be collecting items shoppers can purchase inside the Walgreens and donate to be shipped to troops in Afghanistan.

Admission: Free. 

When/Where: 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at .

Why Go: Support the American Cancer Society and QV Relay for Life while learning from Chef Martin Thomas, who will share his knowledge using farm-to-table cuisine. Thomas will  a Mediterranean-style dinner. Mary Robb Jackson of KDKA will share her personal thoughts on being a cancer survivor.

Make It! Jersey Knit Bracelets

When/Where: 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at .

Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day by recycling an old T-shirt. Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to bring an old T-shirt and learn how to finger-weave and make knit bracelets out of them.
