Get Out: The Father's Day Edition

Father's Day Fun Fair

When/Where: noon to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Moon Park. 

Why Go: Father's Day is a perfect time to spend a day with your kids at the park.

Admission: Free. 

Tween Chef: Dinner with Dad

When/Where: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Market District in Robinson. 

Why Go: Grab dad and treat him to a delicious dinner. This special event will include a shrimp and scallop appetizer, twice-baked potatoes, grilled veggies and a cowboy steak. Work together to create your meal then sit down and enjoy with Dad.

Admission: $65. For ages 9 to 12. Maximum of six couples per class. 

Three Rivers Arts Festival

When/Where: noon to 8 p.m. daily through Sunday, June 16 in Downtown Pittsburgh in Point State Park, Gateway Center and the Cultural District.

Why Go: Try your hand at art, watch artists in action or listen to music. There's plenty happening for everyone at the annual festival, including dad.

Admission: Free.

Car Wash

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15 in the KFC parking lot on University Boulevard.

Why Go: Get dad's car washed and shiny while supporting the Moon Lady Tigers Soccer team. The Moon Color Guard and Majorettes are also hosting a car wash starting at 9 a.m. in the Clearview Credit Union lot on University Boulevard. 

Admission: Donations.

Great Amazing Race

When/Where: 12:15 p.m. for the first race and 2:15 p.m. for the second race on Sunday, June 16 at Settlers Cabin Park Moccasin Shelter.

Why Go: Take Dad on a full-filled race spread across a one-mile cross-country course. Modeled after the CBS television show “The Amazing Race,” teams race against one another in a string of up to eight challenges. Each station will contain a Secret Clue Card that instructs teams to complete a task-- a game, relay, obstacle course--before proceeding to the next challenge station. The team that reaches the finish line with the fastest overall time wins.

Admission: $40 per team of two; $50 late registration. Register online.
