Why Go: The children are always having sleepovers, so let their favorite stuffed animals have one too. Drop off your furry friend at the library Friday and pick it back up Saturday morning, when donuts and juice will be provided.

1941 OSCAR WINNING MOVIES
When/Where: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sewickley Public Library.
Why Go: Spend the afternoon watching Sergeant York, a film about a boy whose life and beliefs change after he is drafted into the military.

OPEN MIC NIGHT
When/Where: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Crazy Mocha, Sewickley.
Why Go: Think you’ve got some singing skills? Belt out your favorite tunes to a group of musicians and friendly faces. If you’re not musically gifted, feel free to drop by and check out the talent.

STEELERS PEP RALLY
When/Where: 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium.
Why Go:Join Heath Miller and Brett Keisel with 96.1 KISS FM’s Tall Cathy to get pumped up for the upcoming Steelers season, zoo-style.
Pricing: The rally is free with the price of zoo admission.

Why Go: Check out the Irish band’s Science and Faith Tour, and sing along to hits such as Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.
