Get Out: Make Hand Pies, Attend a Seminar or Share Family Heritage

2.  LASER SPINE INSTITUTE SEMINAR ON BACK PAIN

When/Where: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; noon to 7 p.m. Friday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Marriott Pittsburgh Airport, Moon Township.

Why Go: If you have chronic neck and back pain and want an effective alternative to open neck or back surgery, take your MRI or CT films to this seminar and learn about the institute’s minimally invasive procedures.

3. HAND PIES

When/Where: 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sewickley .

Why Go: Join expert pie maker Jeff Lumley and learn to make individual hand pies. This event is for youths age 12 and up and adults.

Admission: A $2 fee will be donated to the library. Registration is required.

 

4. A VISIT FROM LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at Moon Township Public Library.

Why Go: Take the kids to experience Red on a whole new level. Professional storyteller Kim Adley will bring the fairytale of Little Red Riding Hood to life.

5. PITTSBURGH POWER VS. ARIZONA RATTLERS

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Consol Energy Center, Downtown.

Why Go: It’s the last regular season home game for the Power, so if you haven’t seen the team in action, now’s the chance. Plus, it’s "Free Bobblehead" night!

Admission: Tickets start at $15.75.
