When/Where: 1 p.m-3 p.m. today at , 303 Camp Meeting Road, Leet Township. 

Why Go: An open house and art show at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sewickley will feature about 30 artworks from artists ages 3 and up.

"The Hunger Games"

When/Where: All day. Show times at Cinemark, 2100 Settlers Ridge Center Drive, Robinson.  

Why Go:  Seems like everyone is talking about “The Hunger Games," the literary trilogy set in the future. The United States is broken into 12 districts, and every year the districts send a boy and a girl to compete in the games at The Capital, where they fight to the death and only one survives. Starring Jennifer Lawrence.

When/Where: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. today; 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, , Ohio Township.

Why Go:  Get out and shop for consignment children's spring and summer clothing, toys, books, games, sports equipment, baby accessories and maternity items.

Admission: Free.

 

When/Where: 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium in Leetsdale.

Why Go: The popular musical “Guys and Dolls” is sure to please audiences when the high school cast takes the stage.

Admission: $12 for adults/$8 for students or senior citizens.

 

Celebrate Fred Rogers’ Birthday

When/Where: 7 p.m. tonight at Dormont’s , 1449 Potomac Ave.

Why Go: Watch the documentary “Speedy Delivery” (2008) as part of this special event to celebrate the birthday of Fred Rogers.  — will be at the theater for a discussion and autograph signing. A sweater drive will be held throughout the evening. Those who bring a sweater to donate receive a free small popcorn.

Admission: $10. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Hollywood Theater.

 

When/Where: 7 p.m.-9 p.m. tonight in the Moon Area High School auditorium. 

Why Go: Bands from high school will perform. The event is sponsored by the high school’s Guitar Club.

Admission: $3.

 

Craft Party at Sewickley Library

When/Where: 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at .

Why Go: It's National Craft Month. Celebrate by making a variety of crafts using construction paper, paper plates and tissue paper at this family program. 

Admission: Free, but registration required.

 

When/Where: 1 p.m. Saturday at Consol Energy Center, Pittsburgh.

Why Go: Wear your QV colors and support the Quaker Valley varsity hockey team as it takes on Mars in the Penguin Cup Championship. If the team wins the Western Pennsylvania Championship, it will advance to the state championship game at 3 p.m. Sunday at RMU Island Sports Center.

Admission: $10 adults; $5 kids 12 and over.

 

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday at the on Nicholson Road (near the Wexford exit of I-79). Pot-luck lunch served at 12:30 p.m.

Why Go: Join the third annual Pittsburgh Regional All-Day Singing from the Sacred Harp in singing a cappella hymns in four-part harmony from The Sacred Harp, an early American shape-note hymnal.  Books will be available for loan or purchase. Some of these hymns are among the oldest music composed by English-speaking people in America. This is a nondenominational, participatory event.

Admission: Free and open to the public, though a free-will offering is requested.
