Get Out: Astrology, Father's Day and a Book Sale

When/Where: 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Sewickley Public .

Why Go: Summer is finally here, and it’s time to indulge in a couple of good summer reads. Go to the Friends’ Fabulous Book Sale and see what books interest you.

Admission: Free to attend. Prices vary depending on the book. Sunday is Bag Sale Day, when you can fill a brown paper bag with as many books as possible for $5.


2. SWEETWATER SUMMER MUSIC SERIES

When/Where: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wolcott Park, Sewickley.

Why Go: Spend your evening enjoying live music at the park. Lyra Rising will be performing. Be sure to bring a blanket or chair to sit on during the show. If it rains, the concert will be at Center for the Arts.

When/Where: 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Moon Township Public Library.

Why Go: Join Cathy Bednar for her discussion on astrology readings and how to benefit and improve your life from the readings.

4. TAYLOR SWIFT

When/Where: 7 p.m. Saturday, Heinz Field, North Shore.

Why Go: T-Swift is sure to put on a great show with her can’t-miss Speak Now World Tour. Kids and grownups alike will enjoy listening to her perform her memorable songs.

Admission:  Tickets start at $54.40 with fees. Tickets are still available at www.ticketmaster.com.

When/Where: Noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Moon Park, Moon Township

Why Go: Have the kids take Dad to the park to enjoy some quality time together. The Fun Fair will offer numerous activities,  including airbrush tattoos, a safari maze and a ventriloquist show at 2 p.m. Plus, lunch is free!
