Flood Watch in Effect Until 4 p.m.

Creeks, streams are running high.

A flood watch is in effect until 4 p.m. today for Southwest Pennsylvania, including Butler, Allegheny and Beaver and counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Overnight, 1 to 2 inches of rain reportedly fell across the watch area. Streams and creeks are running at high levels and out of their banks in some places due to last nights rain, the weather service said.

Rain will continue this morning with additional rainfall of an inch or more possible. A cold front is expected to bring showers wth locally heavy rainfall continuing through the morning hours.
