Five Things You Need to Know This Week

1. Guilt Free Shopping
From Friday, July 19 through Monday, July 22, Moon Library and The Caring Society.com, a locally based Internet retailer, have teamed up to create a “Guilt-Free Shopping Weekend” to raise funds for the Moon Township Library.
Items to be available for purchase online include stylish jewelry, quilted handbags, backpacks and duffle bags, hand-stitched luxury quilts and throws of heirloom quality. After shopping The Caring Society website, customers at check-out can donate 20 percent of their purchase to support Moon Library. All pricing is competitive and does not add any additional costs to the consumer.

2. Lunchtime Concert
Enjoy a lunchtime concert and the sounds of Steven Vance & John Garrick, strolling violins, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Robin Hill Park in Moon Township.

3. Family Fun Nights
Bring the entire family and enjoy some great live entertainment featuring the Swingin' Bobcat Big Band 7 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Moon Park.4. Folk Music at Coraopolis Library
Join Coraopolis Memorial Library for a free concert of American Folk Music from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20 featuring Bradley Malone. Since 1988, Malone has dedicated his talents to the preservation and sharing of American Folk music. He has been performing in public venues from California, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for 25 years. The concert will be held in the library meeting room. Refreshments served after the show. 5. Sushi Making
Jeff Iovino, a sushi instructor with extensive sushi-making experience both in and out of the classroom, will share tips and techniques to making sushi at home. From 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 15 at Market District in Robinson, learn everything you need to know about preparing easy sushi-savvy vegetables, fish and rice. Registration is $50.
