Patch tries out this roadside bar's comfort-food menu.
on Flaughtery Run Road serves up food with a side of fun. With the laid-back atmosphere and televisions visible from any seat in the house, the Hangar is an off-the-beaten-path spot to hang out with a friend or watch the game.
The menu is extensive and the pricing is modest. Appetizers, such as nachos, potato skins and mushrooms, range in price from $3.99 to $8.99. The chicken-wing appetizer can serve as a meal for just $5.99. Chicken, steak, taco or shrimp salads are $6.99. And burgers, sandwiches and hoagies, which come with either chips or French fries, range in price from $5.99 to $6.99.
The menu also offers dinners including linguine, grilled chicken and fish that range from just $6.99 to $8.99.

Popular dishes include the buffalo chicken sandwich, Italian hoagie, steak hoagie, hot roast beef sandwich and the award-winning fish sandwich. Food and drink specials are offered daily. On Sundays and Mondays, it’s $1.00 drafts and $1.50 well drinks and on Tuesday and Sunday the wings are on special.
The kitchen is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. As bar policy, no one under the age of 21 is permitted in the establishment after 9 p.m.
