The largest class of freshmen in Robert Morris University history will descend on the Moon Township campus Thursday, Aug. 22 for Freshmen Move-In Day.

RMU will welcome the The Class of 2017--936 freshmen who represent 26 states and 19 nations.

Returning undergraduate students will move in throughout the weekend in anticipation of the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 26.

The fall of 2013 is also significant for Robert Morris because it marks the 50th anniversary of the Moon campus, site of the former Oliver Kaufmann estate.

The campus opened in the fall of 1963 with a single classroom building, a lone administrative building, and three residence halls.
