The first audition for our three week summer dance intensive will be held at RMU's Massey Theater.
Ken Nickel former principle dancer of the Pittsburgh Ballet, Maria Slutiak current Point Park University instructor and Greer Reed, former Ailey II dancer and current artistic director of the August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble will be a few of the highly-trained, experienced instructors for the intensive.
Dancers ages 12 and up, with serious goals to strengthen their level of technique and artistic growth, will have daily classes in Ballet, Jazz and Modern. In addition, classes in Contemporary, Men's Technique, Partnering, Pilates, Yoga, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theater Dance, and Improv. Also, lectures on information including nutrition, injury prevention, auditioning skills and breaking into the business will be offered.
The intensive will be held June 24 - July 13
