Two Pittsburgh women were charged earlier this month with attempting to steal more than $1,300 in merchandise from Super Kmart.
Police said Lynn C. Nichols, 56, and Heather Rene Short, 39, attempted to take clothing, shoes and Pittsburgh Steeler-branded merchandise from the Market Place Boulevard store at 10 p.m. Dec. 8.
Store employees told police that they witnessed the women removing tags from items and placing them into shopping bags. The total value of the items was $1,316.03.
Both Nichols and Short were charged with receiving stolen property, retail theft, criminal attempt and criminal conspiracy.
Moon Police made the following recent arrests in the township. Each incident is a reflection of police records and is not an indication of guilt.
- Robert Martin Ward, 50, of Imperial, was charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and reckless driving at 4 p.m. Dec. 13 after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of University Boulevard and Tiger Trail.
- Gerald Walton Jeter, 48, of Moon Township, was charged with aggravated assault Dec. 27. The location and time of the incident were unavailable.
