VP Candidate Paul Ryan Coming to Moon for Saturday Rally

The GOP candidate plans a campaign stop here before heading to other events later in the day.

The 2012 race for the White House is coming to Moon.

GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will appear Saturday in Moon Township for a campaign rally.

Billy Pitman, spokesman for the Republican National Committee, confirmed that the event will begin at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the Atlantic Aviation hangar at 300 Horizon Drive in Moon, just outside Pittsburgh International Airport. Doors open at 8:15.

All attendees at the event will go through airport-like security before being admitted. Cameras are allowed, but attendees are asked to not bring sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids or signs, according to the announcement

The Secret Service has contacted Moon Township Police regarding the campaign event, said dispatcher Don Neely.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Ryan will follow the event with a campaign stop in Ohio.

Heaven FORBID! We need Romney, Ryan, and the republicans like we need a bunch more holes in the head. Remember the 4 Rs: Romney, Ryan, Republicans, and Ruination--It's hilarious: The phony Republican Admin Bushie war in Iraq (billions), vast subsidies of the oil industry (our tax moneys!), refusal to put the taxes back where they belong on the very rich who have been practicing wealth distribution to themselves since the tax breaks the republicans refuse to remove from them (so the rest of us will have to pay for their increasing wealth). Republicans of any but a clearly moderate and intelligent stamp (where will you find them these days?) And these clowns want to do more of the same? They must think we're all stupid... well, it appears some of us are. Geez!

I will never understand why people are so upset over someone making money. This country was built on people who had ideas created businesses and if successful made MONEY, hired people who made MONEY, spent money for items help other businesses make MONEY, who then hired people who made MONEY and it goes on and on. In the mean time all these people are paying taxes which goes in to the communities, state, and federal government and they are making MONEY. All the years I have worked I was never hired by a poor person or a failing company. And I would like to thank all the rich companies out their that hired me and gave me the American Dream

man...I would love to go if I could. I am thinking that an airport stop at 10am in the morning is not really going to consist of much more than what you see in the photograph above. If I read the articles covering the stop and anything substantial was discussed...I am going to be so upset.

I lost two jobs since the current bozo's been in office. I don't trust the two-headed snake who claims to be American. I'm sick of apologies for our country, high gas prices, economy, the deficit that our children and grandchildren will be burdened with , etc. He had no experience from the beginning and is running and ruining this country right into the ground. We NEED new change.

Better stop watching Fox news. It's nobody's fault but your own if you lost your jobs! By the way, gas prices are going down....sorry to disappoint. Maybe you should've complained more when George W was pretending to run the country! If you think Obama is a bozo, then please look in the mirror to find the real BOZO!

Denise sorry for your job lost ,this current president has his own agenda and it is not the American people. I have found out in all these debates if they can't debate on the issues they attack you personally and blame President Bush. Its been four years time to blame Obama

Yes, maybe Ryan will wash a few already-clean pots and tell more tales of his made-up marathon times. What a loser! Fit to be Pres. if something would happen to Richie Rich? I think not! LOL

Alfie, you must be crazy.... Gas prices are going down because they are using a different blend due to the weather and people are not traveling as much.. Get a grip. Know what your talking about before you open your liberal mouth. Gas prices always go down in the fall no matter who is in office. When George W. finished his second term, gas prices were around $1.86/gallon. Holy cow!!!!!

To tell someone its their own fault if they lost a job in this economy with an administration who has not come thru on ANY promises made 4 years ago and who has NO new ideas to improve things other than taxing successful people is one of THE most insensitive, uninformed and immature things I've seen and during this campaign I've seen and heard plaenty. If someone “didn't build that“ HOW can they control whether or not their job is safe? I bet all 23 MILLION people under or unemployed would disagree with that statement also. The end is HERE for the President who continues to lie to our faces about the Embassy attack on Sept 11. Americans are on to him and have had enough. Get used to saying President ROMNEY! He's a REAL leader who has succeeded his ENTIRE life!
