Hoss's Steak and Sea House closed this month. If you had the chance, what new business would you open in this Moon Township facility?

Vacant buildings and unused storefronts are eyesores, but an empty storefront can also be an opportunity. You don't need to be a commercial developer or city planner—or have money to invest in a business project—to have the next great idea.

The property a 1011 Beaver Grade Road is newly vacant—Hoss's Steak and Sea House shuttered its doors at the building earlier this month, after more than 20 years in business.

The property is owned by Hoss's Restaurant Operations LLC, according to county property records.

Now that Hoss's has closed, we want to know: What business would benefit the Moon-area community? How could this space better serve you and your neighbors? If you had your pick, what business would move into this Beaver Grade Road property?

Share your thoughts, ideas and concerns in the comments. Tell us what your vision is for this Moon Township vacancy.

It'll probably become a medical bldg. -- like the old King's location on Beaver Grade Rd.

How about a monument dedicated to all the commercial development killed by the Moon Twp supervisors over the years.

An English- or Irish-style pub.

What we usually get a fast food place or a car dealership. How about a store to shop in and keep some business in Moon.

I would like to see the Sizzler Restaurant Chain here. Also, other possibilities include Ponderosa or Carls Jr. (Hardees)

I would love to see a Southern chain called "SONNY'S'' come into our building. It is an unusual establishment that specializes in chicken, BBQ's, coleslaw, and specially prepared Boston baked beans. It is so popular, that people have to wait in line outside on a Sunday to get in. Go SONNY'S!!! Having lived in Florida, I sure miss SONNY's.

A restaurant would be a nice addition since we have to drive to Robinson or Monaca for a nice variety. I love the idea of a pub/restaurant. Maybe a Mexican restaurant would be really cool too. :0'

Robinson is booming..great..but what about our area? something local for us to go to and enjoy? we do not have any of these above close by....

A gas station would make the most sense. If you live on the side of Moon closest to Robinson you have no where to get gas unless you go into moon or have a membership to Costco. Moon needs to do something that makes sense for once.
