Moon Area hockey will faceoff against the North Hills Hockey Club Friday at 8:30 p.m. at North Park Ice Rink as part of the PIHL Outdoor Charity Series.
Proceeds from the special outdoor matchup will benefit Pittsburgh’s chapter of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation. Advanced tickets are available for $5 by contacting Mike Yeomans at 412-889-9132 or email@example.com. A ticket and official game T-shirt combination is available before the game for $15 and for $20 on game night.
This year’s game is a rematch from last year’s Outdoor Charity series won by Moon Area. The game follows another charity matchup between Quaker Valley and Kittanning at 6:30 p.m. that benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Between games, the ice will be divided in thirds for six pee wee teams from the North Hills, Moon Area, Kittaning and Quaker Valley areas to participate in 15-minute exhibition games.
