Thanksgiving in Moon: What's Closed? What's Open?

Need to run some last minute errands on Turkey Day? Patch gives you this rundown of what's open and closed in the township for the holiday.

 

 

Giant Eagle: Closed on Thanksgiving, open from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Black Friday.

Walgreens: Closed on Thanksgiving, open from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Black Friday.

Rite Aid: The store will be opened from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the pharmacy will remain open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday.

Kuhn's Market: Closed on Thanksgiving, open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Kmart on Beaver Grade Road: Open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving and 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.

Kmart on Market Place Boulevard: Open 24 hours a day.

Sheetz: Open 24 hours a day.

Moon Area School District: Closed from Nov. 24 to Nov. 29.

Moon Township Public Library: Closed on Thanksgiving but open for regular hours on Black Friday.

Township offices: Moon Township administrative offices on Beaver Grade Road are closed for Thanksgiving and Black Friday but will reopen on Monday.

Some of this information is incorrect. Giant Eagle is open Thanksgiving from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The hours on Black Friday are 3:00 AM until 11:00 PM. Free coffee and donut holes will be served 3:00 AM until 7:00 AM.

Kmart on Market place blvd no longer 24 hours...opens @ 6am thanksgiving day.
