Services Scheduled for Moon Area Grad, Former Firefighter Killed in Crash
Andrew Snarey and his father, George Snarey, will be buried today at Chartiers Cemetery.
Burial services for a Moon Area High School graduate and his father, who were killed in a McKean County car crash, are scheduled to take place today.
Andrew Snarey, 25, and his father, George Snarey, 60, will be interred at 11 a.m. today at Chartiers Cemetery, with services conducted prior to the burial at Copeland Funeral Home on Brodhead Road.
Pennsylvania State Police said Andrew and George, both formerly of Moon, and 28-year-old Jeffrey Kramer, of McDonald, were killed Nov. 25 after Andrew lost control of his vehicle on Route 66 near the Elks County Line.
A fourth passenger, Todd Kosenina, 42, of Imperial, was injured in the crash.
Visitation for Andrew and George was Tuesday at Copeland Funeral Home.
Andrew was a volunteer firefighter for the Moon Township Volunteer Fire Department. He was an Army veteran of Afghanistan, serving in the 82nd Airborne Infantry, and a member of the Army Reserves at the time of his death. He will be buried with full military honors.
Andrew, who resided in Hopewell, was a 2005 graduate of the Moon Area School District, where he played on the high school's golf team. He was a graduate of the Allegheny County Police Academy and was employed as a part-time police officer with the Harmony, Baden and Conway police forces.
His father, George, a Green Tree resident, formerly served as member and officer of the Moon Baseball Association and volunteered for Moon Township Little League. He was a 1969 graduate of West Allegheny High School and retired from Neville Chemical in 1997 as a pipe fitter.

The last name of the third victim is not McDonald. It is Kramer. He lived in McDonald. I know his mother and both are/were the kindest people you would ever meet. Please update the article and keep these families in your prayers. Both young men were veterans and Jeff was an Eagle Scout and troop leader. What a tragedy to lose such fine people.
